Today I had an interview with SameSun Hostel - a top rated hostel in downtown Vancouver. I decided a couple weeks ago that I wanted to work at a hostel this summer because I really enjoy the fun and energetic atmosphere that hostels have. Also it'll be a great way for me to earn a few summer spending bucks while meeting people from all over the world before I start real work in September at Ernst & Young. I met Pete, the hostel manager, at noon for a quick fifteen minute interview. Pete is from Victoria but moved to Vancouver about six years ago. I'm sure he's done his fair share of traveling himself. He asked be to tell him about where I've been, what my work experience was and a few travel stories to keep him entertained. I think it went really well. He is calling me back for a second interview when I get back from my travels, but I really really hope I get it!

After the interview I decided to go for a walk along the pier in False Creek. It was a beautiful day and just the right temperature. Everyone was out jogging or walking their dogs and I thought it was a perfect opportunity to snap some pictures of beautiful Vancouver. An hour of strolling under the sun it was time for me to make my way back across the bridge towards to North Shore and met up with Janice for a tanning session. As always, it was great to see her again. Lots of hugs and smiles were shared and then we escaped on our ten minute tropical vacation. It was nice.
Tooth is doing OK today. A little sensitive still, but the blister is going down a bit. Good sign!
